Laughing, joking, having fun,
Playing sports together,
At camp all day in the sun,
Their friendship as thick as leather.
Two friends who were unbreakable,
But then something happens,
One goes through some trouble,
And the other makes some regrettable actions.
Soon they have no respect for each other,
Obviously their love went to waste,
One couldn’t handle two best friends,
And the other lost something she couldn’t replace.
So what are they to do, just let go and give up?
But the other one certainly feels like a fool,
Tired of hearing all the mean gossip,
She can’t feel like this forever- just like a tool.
She’s sorry for all that has gone on,
But not sorry enough to say sorry,
Because what did she do wrong?
All she had done was be nice, and now her heart was aching.
A friendship ruined by a guy?
Who was stupid enough to let that follow through?
She didn’t like him that much anyways, why
At least as much as you claimed her to.
It might be too late to apologize to her,
Waiting, longing for you to try to be her friend.
But now your chance may be soon over,
I am afraid that this may be the end.

A Comic Tragedy
As the alarm rang at a piercing volume, I woke up and had to make breakfast for
the two kids. I took out the perfect white eggs. While I was strolling towards the sink, I lost my grip, I dropped an egg, and CRACK!
Johnny, Jake, and I ate breakfast together and of course, me being the slob I am, dropped
half of my meal onto my lap- including my orange juice which dripped onto my neatly ironed shirt. Next we all drove to the elementary school and I went the wrong way twice. How hard was it to write down accurate directions?
Baby sitting two kids you have never met is an easier said than done job!
When school ended for the kids, Johnny had baseball and Jake had basketball. Once
again the direction instructions were incorrect and the boys were each twenty minutes tardy to their activities. On the way to the gym Jake was drinking bright blue Gatorade and KERPLUNK- it was rapidly all over the seat of my car.
The stench was going to last for at least a month.
After the horrible spilling incident came bed time. Was I really supposed to get these
uncontrollably crazy children to sleep? Jake needed me to give him a back massage and Johnny wanted me to read a fifteen paged book to him. Then the two mischievous boys would not stay in their beds and were storming around the house trying to pull my pants down as a joke! It was certainly not funny, but also truly discomforting! When the boys finally crawled into their beds extremely
exhausted, I felt like I had hit a huge, hard brick wall. I wished that the brick wall was real so that I would not have to watch these two undomesticated “children”. It was time for me to hit the hay.
This was definitely the last time I was baby sitting.
